Frontiers in Photography are an indie-folk band based in Sydney, Australia.
With mellow trombone, piano-accordion, guitar and vocals, Frontiers in Photography would like to say hello. First formed in 2002 in Adelaide, the new Sydney line up met over a dram of single malt whiskey in 2009 and have since found the sound to release on their debut EP in April 2010.
The brainchild of Glaswegian born composer and multi-instrumentalist Scott Gillespie; Frontiers in Photography will pour some light onto tired eardrums.
Featuring Scott Gillespie (guitar, lead vocals, samples); Stephen Wan (keyboard, piano accordion, harmonica, melodica, backing vocals) and Astrid Zeman (trombone, rhythm guitar, backing vocals). Frontiers in Photography have supported David Grubbs, Qua, Ben Fletcher, Disaster plan and The Beautiful Few.
